Venus, the planet of lovebeautygrace and harmony, has spent time recently embroiled in the dark depths of Scorpio, turning up the passion and emotional intensity but also turning up the emotional manipulation, jealousy and angst.

When Venus leaves Scorpio and arrives in easy-going Sagittarius on October 7th until November 5th, 2021, it’s something of a relief for many.

Sagittarius is a mutable fire sign, and when Venus expresses her love and grace through this sign, we still get passion aplenty, but now it’s directhonest, what-you-see-is-what-you-get passion, with none of the skulduggery and secrecy of Scorpio’s influence.

Venus here in Sagittarius is also not the same kind of fiery passion as Venus in Aries or Leo, the other fire signs.

Venus in Aries is passionate to the point of zeal, not caring at all what others think or feel. Venus in Leo is warmly passionate, but mostly passionate about itself and about the need to feel adored.

By contrast, Venus in Sagittarius is genuinely straightforward – enthusiasticlovingjoyful, but also able to adapt and to respect boundaries.

Dating when Venus is in Sagittarius can be a joy – people by and large are good-natured during this transit, humorous and tolerant.

It’s a fabulous time to be outdoors with your sweetheart and to share big visions and even bigger dreams. This is optimistic, feel-good energy and it can boost even the most jaded of relationships.

However, one thing Sagittarius energy is not is committed. If you’re hoping to settle down with your partner, Venus in free-roaming Sagittarius is not the best of influences.

There’s often more than a hint of infidelity during this transit, although it would be open and transparent if so – it’s more an ‘anything goes’ free love kind of vibe rather than anything underhand, but still, not ideal if you’re looking for a time to stabilize a relationship.

Venus transits don’t only concern love, but often money too. Here the Venus in Sagittarius transit is again optimistic, albeit not entirely realistic.

This is cross your fingers and hope for the best energy rather than pore over your accounts energy.

Bright, breezy and intent on freedom, Venus in Sagittarius doesn’t really follow the rules. This can be an advantage if you work in a highly creative industry; less so if you’re in a rigid corporate world.

Horoscopes: How Does the Venus in Sagittarius Transit Affect Each Sun Sign?

In astrology, the transit of Venus through Sagittarius affects each sun sign slightly differently, often based on which astrological house Venus will be transiting for each zodiac sign.

Venus in Sagittarius for an Aries (Aries dates: March 20 – April 19)

When Venus transits Sagittarius, your fellow fire sign, you’ll feel confidentoptimistic and keen to have an adventure of some kind.

If you’re thinking along the lines of romantic adventure – ask your partner first! In business, it’s a good time to expand or to take on new clients and you should have no trouble selling your skills.

Venus in Sagittarius for a Taurus (Taurus dates: April 20 – May 20)

If your relationship has been getting bogged down in deep emotions recently, the transit of Venus through Sagittarius will do a lot to lighten the atmosphere.

Connect with your partner now through shared dreams, shared goals and shared resources. Work together as a team towards something you both want, Taurus. You’ll find yourself coming closer together as you do so.

Venus in Sagittarius for a Gemini (Gemini dates: May 21 – June 20)

When Venus transits your love zone, it has to be a good time for your romantic life, right? Yes, Gemini, mostly.

It’s certainly a fun time for dating or meeting someone new, but don’t set your heart on a new relationship necessarily lasting very long right now. In an established partnership, try to have fun together rather than worrying all the time. Forget your cares and simply enjoy.

Venus in Sagittarius for a Cancer (Cancer dates: June 21 – July 21)

Venus in Sagittarius encourages you to get outdoors, Cancer, no matter what the weather, and to spend more time in nature.

This is good for your mental health, and good for your physical health too, especially if you’re exercising at the same time. This is a good time to start a mindfulness practice or to learn to meditate – this will help to keep your stress levels lower in the future.

Venus in Sagittarius for a Leo (Leo dates: July 22 – August 21)

When Venus transits your fellow fire sign Sagittarius, you’ll love the parties which result. Venus here is intent on having fun and your top priority will be to do more of whatever brings you joy.

However, assuming that what brings you most joy probably isn’t going to work and paying your bills, Leo, you may need to watch out for an excess of play and not enough responsibility.

Venus in Sagittarius for a Virgo (Virgo dates: August 22 – September 21)

This Venus transit activates your family zone, Virgo, helping to smooth over cracks in family relationships and heal any feuds.

That’s not to say there won’t be any arguments – there will be, with this fiery energy – but what conflict there is can be honestopen and ultimately fruitful. Treat it as a clearing the air exercise, so that you can then become closer than you were before.

Venus in Sagittarius for a Libra (Libra dates: September 22 – October 22)

This Venus transit keeps you on your toes, and it’s probably a very busy time for you both at work and in your personal life. You’ll get a sense of satisfaction from a job well done though, so don’t be afraid to pack as much as you can into each 24 hours.

You’ll be worn out by the end of this transit, Libra, but when you look back, you’ll be able to see what you’ve achieved a great deal.

Venus in Sagittarius for a Scorpio (Scorpio dates: October 23 – November 21)

When Venus transits your money zone, it means one thing: spend, spend, spend. Watch out for a tendency to try to buy love during this transit. You know better than this – and yet, it still hard to resist that way of thinking.

Instead, spend time on your lover, rather than money, Scorpio. On a practical note, check the fine print of any financial agreements you make.

Venus in Sagittarius for a Sagittarius (Sagittarius dates: November 22 – December 20)

Venus in your own sign brings a huge boost to your self-confidence and you’ll be making a wonderful first impression now, Sagittarius.

This is a good transit for job huntinginterviewsdating or anything else where you need to stand out from the crowd. Be careful not to step from confidence into arrogance, however – you’re very full on at the moment, and it’s a fine line to tread.

Venus in Sagittarius for a Capricorn (Capricorn dates: December 21 – January 18)

With Venus transiting your spiritual zone, Capricorn, the thing which will bring you most peace and joy is, literally, peace. Try to avoid crowded social events and busy areas, and retreat into your own private zone at home.

The more tranquillity you can get around you, the stronger you will feel. There’s a time to be in the forefront and a time to be in the background; for you now, the background is by far the most appealing place.

Venus in Sagittarius for an Aquarius (Aquarius dates: January 19 – February 17)

Venus transits your social zone now, Aquarius, making this an excellent time for new friendships and new connections. You’re most likely to meet new people through sports or outdoor activities; don’t be surprised if someone you meet now as a friend quickly becomes rather more than that.

If you’re already in a relationship, watch out for some epic flirting.

Venus in Sagittarius for a Pisces (Pisces dates: February 18 – March 19)

Venus is transiting your career zone, Pisces, which is terrific news if you work in health, beauty, the arts or the creative industries.

It’s also useful if you need to sell your skills as a freelancer or self-employed person, as it gives you confidence in your own abilities. At work, don’t be afraid to make good use of who you know as well as what you know.
