It’s been a very long time coming, but are we about to finally see a push for greater global equality? Perhaps. When Uranus transits Taurus, we can be sure of one thing: the establishment is in for a shock. Taurus is a zodiac sign traditionally connected with finance, banking, and building and astrological Uranus energy is the stuff of revolution, upheaval, democracy, radical change and popular protest.

Uranus entered Taurus in May 2018, and we’ve already seen the beginnings of mass protest on numerous issues around the world. Taurus is an Earth sign, and concern over the future of our planet is mobilizing minds like never before. By the time Uranus leaves Taurus, in late April 2026, we may have witnessed the one percent shaken out of their complacency and greed, as ordinary individuals feel empowered to make their voices heard.

Driven by the decent values that most of the humanity shares (Taurus is big on values, remember) change may start to feel unstoppable. Expect social media to play a large part in organizing this avalanche of feeling; Uranian energy is nothing if not tech-savvy. There’s an environmental feel here too, of course, and a growing recognition that the world needs holistic, innovative, creative solutions, not just more of the same-old-same-old. As more and more of us harness Uranus to speak up and speak out, refusing to know our place or to look the other way, the powers that be will have to take notice. To channel this potentially explosive energy positively, though, will take some very skillful world leadership.

On a personal level, the Uranus in Taurus transit brings value shifts for many of us. What we thought was right, or what we thought we believed, may change in the light of new information – and remember, that’s a good thing. However, Taurus energy governs stability and does not like change. The status quo is tough to shift, so there will be some lengthy personal battles ahead as we struggle to come to terms with a new worldview.

Uranus energy can be scary when it strikes from nowhere, and all zodiac signs will experience periods of feeling out of control and lost at sea. The important thing is to keep calm and to trust the process. Astrology shows us that what may seem shocking or impossible at the start of this transit will be welcomed and accepted by the end of it. Eccentricity is to be embraced. Change is on the way, and wise zodiac signs will work with it, not against it.

Don’t leave them behind.

With Uranus transiting your love zone, your relationships may be in for a bumpy ride, Scorpio. Your challenge is to eliminate superficiality. Only through searingly honest engagement can your relationship grow.

The urge to shock is irresistible during this transit, even though, as a Capricorn, you tend to avoid shock at all costs! You’ll want to walk on the wild side now, though, throwing away convention and expectation and freeing your inner rebel. Uranus in Taurus for an Aquarius (Aquarius date: January 20 – February 17)

There’s a sense here of separation from the home and family, but not physical separation, Aquarius – more separation in the sense of independence and freedom. Your creativity is off the scale during this transit, Pisces, especially when it comes to your gift with words. You can write or speak now in a way that changes things. Big things. Become aware of the power of your own communication skills and use them wisely to champion the things which truly matter in your life. It’s an inspirational time to be a teacher, provided you’re willing to break the rules.
